Liquid oxygen is commonly used in metal cutting operations due to its ability to facilitate combustion and increase the efficiency of the cutting process. When combined with a fuel gas such as acetylene, propane, or natural gas in a cutting torch, the high-pressure oxygen stream reacts with the metal at an elevated temperature, causing it to burn and create a metal oxide. This oxide is then blown away by the oxygen stream, resulting in a clean cut.
A liquid oxygen station include:
LO2 Cryogenic Tank LO2 Vaporizer
Pressure Regulator LO2 Pipe and Valves
Except the above equipment, the station system also include:
Safety Alarms and Sensors: Devices that monitor levels of carbon dioxide and provide warnings in case of leaks or other safety hazards.
Fire Suppression System: Equipment designed to suppress fires that may occur at the station.
